Evolution of SONY Play Station
Hello again every body with kinda my first blog.
In my this blog i thought why not to talk about one of the most famous gaming console ever..

Lets start with a little introduction.
Introduction
The Play Station often abbreviated as PS. It's first console was first released on 3 December 1994 in Japan and on different locations on different dates. It made a huge impact on gaming industry. Gamers really liked it even Bill Gates said that "our game designers likes the sony game machine. As time passes it name started to grew day by day and look here we are today talking about Play Station Pro.
Lets take a look at all the major consoles from PS1 to PS PRO.
Play Station 1
Play Station one was released on July 7, 2000. It was considerably smaller, compare to the original play station console. It was a huge hit. It went on to outsell all the other gaming consoles including its successor PS2 which was also released in 2000. It had improved GUI from its successor. A total of 28.15 million units were sold by the time March 2005. Because it sales were discontinued in March 2005.
Play Station 2
Play station 2 and PSone were released concurrently in 2000. Although it was not that a huge hit in that year when both the consoles were released. But after few years PSone vanished from markets because gaming consoles from other companies were also giving a tough competition to PS. So, gradually PS2 demand started to rise in markets all over the world. SONY also faced a law suit of Disk Read Error in 2002. PS2 became the fastest selling gaming console to reach 100 million units shipped on November 29, 2005. A lot of huge games were released for PS2, these games are even going on today with there series including Grand theft auto, Final Fantasy, Metal gear solid etc.
Its 155 million units were sold until the sales discontinued. On January 4, 2013 The Guardian reported that Sony has stopped shipping units of PS2.
Play Station 3
Play station 3 was called a home gaming video console. It was released in November, 2006. It was a seventh generation of gaming console. It competed with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Compared to PS2 this console was a huge upgrade in hardware and other things. PS3's hardware was also used in building super computer. It had HDMI port so it did supported HD resolution. It also had Blu-Ray Drive. PS3 originally came with 20 and 40 GB version bur as time passes it was increased upto 500 GB.
Until November 2, 2013 its 80 million units were sold world wide. Its shipping was discontinued in September, 2015.
Play station 4
It is the latest gaming console from Sony. It was announced in February 20, 2013 and it was released in fourth quarter of the same year. It was the 8th generation system. PS4 have x86 architecture. It started competing with Microsoft's Xbox One and is still competing till date. It also features HD gaming, USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet connectivity. Sony put a lot of work in this console working with AMD. Its RAM was 16 times the ram of PS3 and its quad core Jaguar modules total of 8 cores of x86 architecture. Its GPU unit consists of 18 compute units.
These were the huge upgrades in this console and sure there was a lot of Hard work to put in.
Until June 30, 2016 its shipped units were 43.5 million and its sold units were 40 million. This console is also capable of downloading updates of OS and other programs updates from internet. And last but not the least The Play Station VR. Its a head mounting virtual reality gear having OLED screen with 1080p resolution. Soon a lot of games are planned to be released for Play Stations VR specifically.
Play Station 4 Pro
What do we call this console? Ps4 slim, Ps4 Pro or with its code name Neo. On September 7, 2016 Sony revealed Ps4's slimmer version called Ps4 slim or Ps4 Pro.
It will be upgraded in CPU and GPU both compared to Ps4.It's Gpu will be 4.2 teraflops of processing power and will be higher clocking. It will also support 4K resolution gaming and streaming.
That's almost wrap up this post with ps4. I didn't mentioned slim versions of Ps and other like PSX or vita. I think i will write up a new blog for portable consoles. Until next post everybody....... SAYONARA!
