What's Wrong with Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Hello everyone, we will talk about all things in detail about what's wrong with the Samsung's Galaxy Note 7. But first of all just admire this beautiful piece of tech by watching this trailer of Galaxy Note 7.

 

Well the trailer described the most that what Samsung is trying to say to its customers about the most recent addition to the Note series, The Note 7 was unveiled on 2 August, 2016 and was available for sale in the market after 17 days of its unveiling on 19 August, 2016. Its the 6th in the Note arsenal but Samsung named it 7, so that users don't get a feeling that Note 7 is inferior to Galaxy S7. Lets first have a look at its specs.

So Samsung hooked this beast with the most advanced processor available at that the Exynos 8890 (Exynos is a series of ARM-based System-on-Chips (SoCs) developed and manufactured by Samsung Electronics) and GPU is the one best chip by Mali (The Mali series of graphics processing units (GPUs) are semiconductor intellectual property cores produced by ARM Holdings for licensing in various ASIC designs by ARM partners) , the Mali-T880 MP12. Both the CPU and GPU did very good job performance wise, as they were powered by the Android's "Marshmallow" and that can be seen by these benchmark results by few good bench marking apps available in market like Antutu.

 

As you can see above that the these results say that this device did pretty awesome job performance wise. Well few gamers said about its GPU performance that it do not have any ghost powers about graphics. As the speculations were that it will do an outstanding job in gaming or graphics. But critics said that it did very good job, but not over the charts as it was expected by some people. Now lets move to its further features.

Now here  comes the display and that all thing, well display no one has any sort of complaints. Features said that it have the Super AMOLED display and it does have that display no complaints about that. But one explanation before we move ahead, may be lot of you guys don't know about this AMOLED stuff, most of you guys don't even care about it that we don't care that it is giving a good display and colors. But its is y duty to tell you about it, well AMOLED is a marketing term to impress customers. There are many terms like just AMOLED, Super AMOLED, HD AMOLED etc but the only difference between these terms and the screen quality is that Super AMOLED has more colors than AMOLED like 16M, more ppi (pixels per inch) that this will give you more detailed colors and display quality.
Well another thing in Display is screen size and that is 5.7 inches for this device, a bit large but it has to be that because its phablet, not just smartphone or just tablet. And of-course it support multitouch because Apple now has 3D touch.

This time the screen glass is Gorilla glass 5, which is pretty much hard to break.

 Gorilla Glass is a brand of specialized toughened developed and manufactured by Corning now in its fifth generation, designed to be thin, light and damage-resistant. As i said earlier that there are no complaints for its display so lets move ahead with Memory.

External      microSD, up to 256 GB (dedicated slot) - single-SIM model


This beast have the 4 GB of RAM, and that's a huge amount and performance wise as you have seen that chart earlier it did very well. About the storage it came with 64 GB of internal memory. But one more thing that unlike Note 5 it now has the option to upgrade your device's storage by using an microSD card. Single SIM model of the device have the specific slot for microSD but Dual SIM model don't have the specific slot for microSD, either you can use second SIM or you can use one SIM and a microSD both at the same time. And it has the support of microSD card up to 256 GB, well if you use that 256 GB card i don't know what are you putting in that card because that's a lot of storage for a guy like me in the phablet.

The one of the most important part of any phone, smartphone or phablet is the Camera. This is the hand held or put in your pocket devices that you can take every where with you. And you can have a fun or beautiful moment, meeting an old friend or may be a celebrity you want to take a pic or a "Selfie" at that time where your smartphone came to work. You just pull it out of the pocket and start taking that pic or a selfie or making a video of any moment you like.
Primary camera is of 12 Mega pixel, with phase detection auto focus and i must tell you that the auto focus is pretty much quick. This camera also has the OIS (Optical Image stabilization,
a mechanism used in a still camera or video camera that stabilizes the recorded image by varying the optical path to the sensor).

Pixel size is 1.4 nano meter which assures that you capture a crystal clear photo. And it also has the HDR 
(High dynamic range, it essentially takes a series of images, each shot with a different exposure from darkest to lightest, then
combines the best parts of the three overexposed, underexposed, and balanced shots to create a dramatic image with beautiful shadowing and highlights).

Now come to the video recording, this camera is able to record video at 4K resolution at 30 fps, which is pretty much awesome. And can capture video 1080p at 60 fps.

I forgot to mention the front or secondary camera which everybody use to capture the "Selfies" have the 5 Mega pixel, with feature of dual video call and Auto HDR.
I am sorry that i am not able to provide you guys with sample pictures and videos but trust me guys if you guys want a phablet this is i will recommend to go with it.

You people know about much of the sensors now, because they are not new they are being used in smartphones for a long time.
Let's talk about some of new sensors like SpO2 and Iris scanner.

SpO2 was in Note 4, but a lot of guys don't know what it's work is or what does it do? or What with this name SpO2?
Well, "SpO2 is an estimate of arterial oxygen saturation, or SaO2, which refers to the amount of oxygenated hemoglobin in the blood.
That tells us what its work is and for what is used for.
Now come the new Iris Scanner, As it's name says Iris, this sensor scans the Iris of user's eye for security purposes like unlocking the device. It unlocked the device very quickly, don't take too much time or lag too much.
Its default browser support HTML5.
And it doesn't support Java. And who needs Java anymore in their devices. I don't mean that its a useless platform or support. But now devices have much more advanced platforms than this i:e Android, iOS etc. And in any case if you need or want to run Java games or Apps in your device you have different emulators available in market to run those things.






Battery and Explosions...!!!

Yes, my friend you read that right, Explosions.
This is where things get freaky.
Note 7 have the 3500 mAh non removable battery, and the battery timing is very good. The size of the battery in Note 7 is smaller than S7 Edge because of S-Pen but Samsung put the work in performance and they did it better performance vise.
When its launched in the market it was doing very well globally in the market But suddenly some news started to spread around the internet. Few says that its rumor. But suddenly those rumors turned in to reality when an incident of blast in a hotel room happened, when hotel staff reached to that room this phone you can see on the right.
This is what happened to Note 7 when it's battery exploded. All the media covered this incident and Samsung said to investigate it, and then few more incidents happen like one car in US and one car in UK picked up fire suddenly.
But how and when this happen or happened?
These blasts happen only when the Note 7 is put on charge then some sort of discharge happen in battery of the device and it either explode or start to burn.
Samsung first said that the problem is only in limited number of devices and the company will replace the batteries. But when these serious incidents happened, Air lines banned Note 7 in the flight. Samsung then discontinued the sale of the Galaxy Note 7 worldwide.
But Samsung is still unsuccessful in removing the fear out of consumers hearts about this device.


This is what mainly happened to Note 7 and its sales fell drastically. worldwide although it is a pretty awesome device.

I didn't talked about few spec of the device like its availability in different colors, Sound, etc
